On June 29th AHCA updated their livescan clearinghouse system to include training videos. Instructional videos are not available on the AHCA Livescan website. The videos provide step by step instructions on how to use and navigate the Clearinghouse. AHCA has also updated their Attestation of Complance and Exemption Application. The Attestation of Compliance now includes all the statutory language in Chapter 435 and section 408.809, FS including the disqualifying offenses added in July of last year. The updated forms can be found at the AHCA Livescan website.
Rescreening Updates - All persons subject to screening are required by law to be rescreened every five years. Individuals for whom the last screening conducted was between January 1, 2009 and July, 2011 must be rescreened by July 31, 2015.
Initiating a screening and the Employee Roster - An employer of persons subject to screening by the AHCA Livescan system must register with the Clearinghouse and maintain the employment status of all employees and contractors within the AHCA livescan system. Initial employment or contract status or any changes must be reported within 10 business days.
As with most AHCA Livescan changes, failure to initiate all screenings and/or add an employee or contractor to the employee/contractor roster may result in fines.
